Children's Aid and Family Services is offering Social Skills Programs for children and preteens ages 4 1/2 -12 during a winter session in early February and a spring session in late April. The program is geared toward enhancing children's self-esteem, communications skills, and ability to interact with others. Children will learn how to identify and talk about their feelings, listen attentively, cope with bullying, resolve conflicts, and adapt to new situations.
| Social Skills programs begin with an initial meeting with the program coordinator, a parent orientation, and the children's groups will meet either on Tuesdays or Wednesdays after school or early evening and continue for eight sessions. | |
