Expanded Adoption Services Offered in Ridgewood

For more than 110 years, Children's Aid and Family Services has been known for its strong commitment to adoption and for supporting the most vulnerable children in the communities it serves. With this in mind, the agency is delighted to announce that it is offering expanded adoption and community services at its Ridgewood office, now known as the "Family and Adoption Services Center," on 148 Prospect Street in Ridgewood, NJ.

The Family and Adoption Services Center will offer free workshops that will focus on various aspects of adoption, as well as counseling services for adoptive families and programs such as Social Skills for children and teenagers. This location will also be a hub of adoption and foster family recruitment orientations, trainings, workshops and support groups.

Additionally, by anchoring many of its adoption, family and community services at the Ridgewood location, the agency will be able to offer important Essex County-based adoption services such as NJ*ARCH, Kinship Legal Guardianship and KinConnect to communities in Bergen County. Further, the agency will continue to offer the Social Skills and EPIC programs along with other family support programs presented by The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, a program of Children's Aid and Family Services.

"Children's Aid and Family Services has helped thousands of children and families build better lives during its 110-year history," says Bob Jones, Ph.D., president and CEO of the agency. "With these vital community services now available at one location, I am thrilled that we will be able to help even more people in the community and be more accessible to those that need our services."
