Bestselling Author Ashley Rhodes-Courter at Little Hands Need Big Help" 

Ashley Rhodes-Courter spent almost ten years in foster care, living in 14 placements
before being adopted at age 12. At the age of 23, she published her memoir, "Three Little Words,"
about her experiences in foster care. The book quickly became a New York Times bestselling
novel. Ashley has received national awards from the North American Council on Adoptable
Children, the Child Welfare League of America, and the Congressional Coalition on Adoption
Institute. She has also been featured on "The Today Show," "Good Morning America," CNN and
 "Montel Williams."

Ashley will speak at a fundraising reception hosted by Children's Aid and Family Services and
the PGA TOUR Wives Association. "Little Hands Need Big Help" will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27, Edison, NJ. Bestselling
author Harlan Coben will emcee the event.

Proceeds from this champagne cocktail reception will benefit the agency's Medical Services and Advocacy Center for children in foster care and the PGA TOUR Wives Association's designated charities, including "Blessings in a Backpack."

Madinah Grier


We are saddened to share the news that Madinah Grier, vice president of special projects for Children's Aid and Family Services, passed away on August 8, 2011. Madinah endured a two-year battle with cancer with courage and dignity. She was a trusted colleague and friend to the staff at Children's Aid and Family Services and will be truly missed.
