Glenrockopoly going, Going...almost gone

(Paramus, NJ) February 2, 2007 - Spots are filling up and going fast for The Glen Rock Women In Community Services' (WICS) and Children's Aid and Family Services' fundraising effort, GLENROCKOPOLY. The adaptation of the classic board game is sweeping through the borough, with several local businesses already signed on. Those who have purchased spots on the board include Fastframe, Glenrock Digital Photo, John's Boy Pizzeria, Kilroys, Mail and More, Rockridge Pharmacy, The Grow-cery and Gary Stevens Tae Kwon Do.

The game will look much like its popular inspiration, but instead of the familiar Atlantic City streets, it will consist of Glen Rock properties and people. Each space on the board will be occupied with the name and/or logo of a Glen Rock business. Once these spaces are filled, individuals who wish to buy additional spaces will have the opportunity to have their name listed prominently on the game board. Many local realtors are expected to purchase the game as a gift for new home buyers, and it will also be sold in a number of retail outlets throughout Glen Rock.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to promote your businesses' services to the community, become immortalized in the borough's history, and most important, support the Glen Rock WICS and Children's Aid and Family Services.

Preorders are available now and there are still several spots for purchase. The prices are as follows: There are a number of property spaces available for $250 each; one currency sponsorship is available for $150; and patron spots are still available for $50 each. Completed games will be sold for $25 each.

Glen Rock Women In Community Services (WICS) is a group of devoted women who support local programs, including Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Shelter Our Sisters, and the Center for Food Action. Glen Rock WICS also sponsors community events such as the borough's Halloween Parade and Spelling Bee for the 4th and 5th graders.

Children's Aid and Family Services is one of the largest regional, nonprofit human services organizations serving northern New Jersey. The agency is fully accredited and has more than 100 years of experience in building futures for children, families, and communities. Its mission is to help children, families, and communities to heal, to learn, and to grow. To purchase a spot on the board, or a completed game, call Cyndy Mitchell at 201-261-2800.
