Dreams can come true at Children's Aid and Family Services' 2007 Gala

(Paramus, NJ) February 28, 2007 - Imagine doing some of the things you've always dreamt about, or watching your child's face light up as one of his or her dreams are realized. Perhaps soar high in the skies in a hot air balloon, or have a glamorous overnight excursion to New York City. Maybe travel to foreign lands like Amsterdam and stay in a canal-side apartment for two weeks, or see a favorite sports team in-person and have a chance to shake a star player's hand after the game. Wouldn't it be nice to capture a piece of that magic?

This spring, you'll have a chance to make one of your dreams come true at Children's Aid and Family Services' fourth annual major fundraiser, "A Sparkling Evening of Magic, Marvel, and a touch of March Madness." The event is sponsored by Applebee's, Arthur Groom & Co., BD, Hudson City Savings Bank, Irwin Franchise Capital, Mutual of America, Nextwave Web, Prestige Lexus, TD Banknorth, Toys 'R' Us, Inc., United Water, and Wyeth, and will be held on March 16, 2007, at The Hackensack Golf Club in Oradell.

Tyler Mathisen, Managing Editor of CNBC Business News, and host of CNBC's "High Net Worth," will be the emcee for the evening. The event will also include a cocktail hour, sumptuous buffet dinner, and live and silent auctions featuring exciting and luxurious travel packages, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and an assortment of unique items.

"The chance to be named as a character in an international, best-selling author's novel, get tickets to a Broadway show, or give your child the opportunity to take a Zamboni ride at Madison Square Garden are all within your reach when you place a bid," says Liz Mason, executive vice president. "And not only that, you'll be directly benefiting the most vulnerable children and families in our community, just by attending this wonderful event."

Additionally, basketball fanatics can count down to the Final Four by taking part in fun contests, with the chance to win all kinds of prizes. Last, but certainly not least, Arthur Groom & Co. has generously donated an exquisite Eternity™ Natural Emerald Necklace valued at $10,000 to the event, which will be raffled. Raffle tickets will be sold for $20 each or six for $100.

Tickets for the 2007 gala start at $150. Online registration is available at www.cafsnj.org. For tickets, sponsorships, raffle tickets or more information, please call Lyn Rumage at 201-261-2800.
