(Paramus, NJ) February 9, 2007 - Don't be left out and feeling green with envy! Instead, join the fun and enter a raffle to win a glamorous Eternity™ Natural Emerald Necklace valued at $10,000, donated by Arthur Groom & Co. of Ridgewood to Children's Aid and Family Services.
The emerald is the most precious of gemstones because of its rarity. These exquisite jewels come from all over the world - Colombia, Brazil, Africa, Afghanistan and Russia. In fact, emeralds have been favored by famously stylish women for thousands of years, including Queen of the Nile Cleopatra and the Duchess of Windsor.
Raffle tickets are $20 each, or 6 for $100, and may be purchased at Arthur Groom & Co., 262 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ, or through Children's Aid and Family Services. The winning ticket will be drawn during the agency's spring gala, "A Sparkling Evening of Magic, Marvel & a touch of March Madness." The event is Friday, March 16, 2007, from 7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. at the Hackensack Golf Club in Oradell, NJ.
Additionally, Arthur Groom & Co. will donate 10 percent of all fine jewelry purchases to Children's Aid and Family Services from March 1 - 16, 2007.
"We're excited about this unique fundraiser, and most grateful to Arthur Groom & Co. for its extremely generous donation," says Liz Mason, executive vice president, Children's Aid and Family Services. "Funds raised from the raffle and the two-week sales event will help the agency continue to provide vital community services, including adoption, foster care, elder care, child care and early education, community programs, counseling and crisis response."
Added Mr. Groom, "I'm very pleased to support the efforts of Children's Aid and Family Services, and am confident this exquisite Eternity™ Natural Emerald Necklace will generate excitement and interest in the raffle, as well as the agency's work."
