(Paramus, NJ)  March 30, 2010 – Ellen Elias Rocca, director of The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources and vice president of prevention and addiction services, Children's Aid and Family Services, was recently honored by County Executive Dennis McNerney and the County's Commission on the Status of Women during Women's History Month. County Executive McNerney hosted a ceremony that honored Bergen County women who have had a positive impact on our communities by sharing their expertise. This year's theme of "Writing Women Back into History" honors the spirit of possibility and hope set in motion by generations of women in their creation of communities and their encouragement of dreams.

Ms. Elias Rocca has served as the director of The Center of Alcohol and Drug Resources since 1998 and became the vice president of prevention and addiction services for Children's Aid and Family Services following the merger of the two agencies in October 2009. She has more than 25 years' experience working in the fields of substance abuse prevention and treatment as a direct service provider, professional trainer and administrator with a variety of agencies in New York and New Jersey. She has previously held positions with the New York City Board of Education, National Development and Research Institutes, Inc., Children's Rescue Fund, The New York Children's Health Project and Women's Action Alliance.
"On behalf of the Board and staff of Children's Aid and Family Services, I offer congratulations to Ellen for this recognition of her many contributions to our community," says Bob Jones, Ph.D., president & CEO of Children's Aid and Family Services.
