(Paramus, NJ) June 1, 2010 – Children's Aid and Family Services has received a $10,000 grant from the United Water Foundation Inc. and a $5,000 grant from BJ's Charitable Foundation for its Baby Basics Program. Baby Basics provides free nutritional formula, diapers and other baby essentials to low-income families with children ages newborn through 2 years from distribution sites in Carlstadt, Englewood, Paramus and Ridgewood. In 2009, the program served 177 children and their families, a record number. The program distributes more than 16,000 diapers each month to needy families.

"In this difficult economic climate, more young families than ever are coming to us for help and these grants will make an enormous difference."
