(Hackensack, NJ) January 14, 2010 – Paramus-based nonprofit Children's Aid and Family recently elected Ridgewood resident Erik Sorenson as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for a two-year term. Mr. Sorenson has served on the Board since 2004 and was most recently 1st Vice Chair. A leader in the field of media communications, Mr. Sorenson was formerly president of the MSNBC cable news channel and is currently Chairman of Vault.com, Inc. and Chairman of MediaOne Management.
Additionally, Joyce A. Snider, Ed.D. of Allendale, NJ, has been appointed 1st Vice Chair. Ms. Snider, who has served on the Board since 2004, was formerly Superintendent of Upper Saddle River Schools. Ridgewood resident Carol Smith, who has served on the Board since 2008, has been elected Secretary.
Further, Ridgewood resident Kenneth Bronfin, who is president of Hearst Interactive Media, and Franklin Lakes' resident Nina Sharma were recently elected to the Board for three-year terms.
Former Board Chair John Kandravy, Esq. is joining the agency'sHonorary Board.
