(Paramus, NJ) August 2, 2010 – Ridgewood resident Mark Bombace, who recently retired from the Ridgewood Fire Department where he served as captain, made a generous gift to Children's Aid and Family Services. He received $500 from FMBA (New Jersey State Firemen's Benevolent Association) for a retirement party or gift, and instead of spending it on himself, decided to donate the funds to the agency. "I know all of the good work done by Children's Aid and Family Services," he said. "And I believe this is a better way to recognize the union's gift."
Mr. Bombace retired from the Ridgewood Fire Department on April 1, 2010, after serving for 26 years.
