(Paramus, NJ) June 10, 2008 - Children's Aid and Family Services will be holding its annual Wine and Food Tasting fundraiser on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the event hall at St. Leon's Church in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. The event will feature delicious food, fine wines from around the world coordinated by Chuck Russo of Wine & Spirit World of Ho-Ho-Kus, raffles, and the chance to bid on exciting items in a silent auction.
The agency is seeking sponsors for this year's event, support from local restaurants to donate food for the evening, and auction items. Past silent auctions items have included unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as behind-the-scenes TV studio tours and blimp rides, signed sports memorabilia, and relaxing weekend getaways.
The proceeds from the event will benefit the agency's programs for infants and young children; particularly focusing on supporting the Baby Basics program, which provides diapers and formula to low-income families with children less than 2 years old, the children in its foster care programs, and the Turrell Child Care and Early Learning Center in Paramus.
"Last year we received extraordinarily generous support from several sponsors and area businesses," says Liz Mason, executive vice president, Children's Aid and Family Services. "We're hoping to receive the same level of support this year, and raise even more funds for the agency's vital services for infants and young children. This event offers wonderful recognition and visibility opportunities for local businesses."
