(Paramus, NJ) June 25, 2008 - Children's Aid and Family Services recently received a $23,000 grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities of the New York Tri-State Area (RMHC-NYSTA). This grant will benefit the children and teenagers in foster care.
Funding from RMHC-NYSTA will be used to help children ages 5 through 18 living in one of the agency's five group homes or with specially trained treatment foster families. It will focus on both enhancing and increasing participation in the life skills training curriculum, where the children learn to do laundry, cook a meal, open a bank account, or write a resume, as well as providing computers for each of the agency's group homes to help the children with their studies.
