(Paramus, NJ) January 15, 2008 - Paramus and Ridgewood-based nonprofit Children's Aid and Family Services has elected John Kandravy, Esq., as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for a two-year term. Erik Sorenson has been elected as 1st Vice-Chair. Mr. Kandravy, a resident of Ridgewood, has been a member of the Board since 1998, and most recently served as 1st Vice-Chair. Mr. Sorenson, also of Ridgewood, has been a member of the Board since 2004 and continues to serve as Chair of the Development Committee. Also serving on the committee are 2nd Vice-chair Carol Whaley of Ridgewood, and Secretary David M. Repetto, Esq., of Upper Saddle River.
Newly appointed to the Board of Trustees for a three-year term are: Gregory Bullock of West Orange, Dan Shiver of Teaneck, and Carol Smith of Ridgewood. Mr. Bullock has a long history as a volunteer with the agency, having served for many years as a member of the advisory board of the Children's Haven group foster home. Mr. Shiver is a past Governor of Rotary District 7490 and a past President of the Passaic County Board of Realtors. Mrs. Smith has been a long-standing volunteer with the Baby Basics program and has served on the agency's Development and its annual wine and food tasting fundraiser committees.
Retiring Board Chair, Ronald von Autenried, and Treasurer, Robert Saydah, have been elected to the agency's Honorary Board.
