(Paramus, NJ) January 17, 2008 - Children's Aid and Family Services is pleased to announce several major corporations have signed up as sponsors for its annual fundraiser. This year's gala has a beach-party theme, and is taking place on Friday, March 28, 2008, at The Hackensack Golf Club in Oradell, NJ. This event is one of the major ways the agency raises funds to support vulnerable children and families in northern New Jersey. The agency's vital services include adoption, foster care, elder care, child care and early education, community programs, counseling, and crisis response.
Sponsors for the Beach Party gala include Applebee's, BD, Boiling Springs Savings Bank, Commerce Bank, Irwin Franchise Capital Corporation, Mutual of America, TD Banknorth, Toys"R"Us, Inc., and Wyeth.
"We're thrilled to welcome these community-minded organizations as sponsors to this year's gala," says Liz Mason, executive vice president. "This year's event promises to be our most exciting yet. Of course, we're hoping to attract even more sponsors to help make this evening a success."
All monies raised at the gala is used to help the agency's clients. For instance, proceeds from past events allowed the agency to build its educational support fund and assist young adults with college and other post-secondary training costs, provide diapers and formula to low-income families, and recruit foster and adoptive parents for children whose only wish is a loving, nurturing family.
The 5th annual gala will include a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, open bar throughout the evening, a DJ, raffle, and live and silent auctions featuring exciting travel packages and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Tickets for the 2008 gala start at $150. Online registration is available at www.cafsnj.org. For tickets, sponsorships, or more information, please call Madinah Grier at 201-261-2800. Children's Aid and Family Services is one of the largest regional, nonprofit human services organizations serving northern New Jersey. The agency is fully accredited and has served the community for more than 100 years. Its mission is to preserve, protect and, when needed, provide families. Motivated by compassion for vulnerable children, young adults, frail elderly and their families, it provides high-quality and innovative services that meet their social, educational and emotional needs.
