Art Auction to benefit Children's Aid and Family Services
Fine art and rare sports memorabilia to be auctioned

(Paramus, NJ) January 11, 2008 - On Saturday, January 19, 2008, The Franklin Lakes Newcomers and Neighbors Club will host an art auction at Portobello Restaurant, 155 Ramapo Valley Road, in Oakland, New Jersey. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Children's Aid and Family Services' Boarder Babies program, in which individuals or families provide foster care for infants whose mothers are unable to care for them and the Baby Basics program, which provides weekly supplies of nutritional formula and diapers to low-income families with infants.

A preview of the art to be auctioned will start at 7:00 p.m., the auction will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. The ticket price includes a one hour open bar and full, sit-down dinner, as well as a door prize. The event will feature art in all media and price ranges.

Some of the featured artists will be Chagall, LeRoy Neiman, Renoir, Robert Lui, Boulanger, Jane Worster Scott, Tarkay, and Patchell Olsen. The opening bids are all 40-50% less than gallery prices. All major credit cards will be accepted.

In addition to fine art, there will also be rare sports memorabilia for guests to bid on, including a Joe Namath silkscreen limited edition framed LeRoy Neiman pencil drawing signed by both Neiman and Joe Namath, a signed Phil Rizzuto jersey, a signed bat by Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, and baseballs signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers.
