(Paramus, NJ) April 23, 2007 - Thanks to a generous $25,000 donation from Boiling Springs Savings Bank, Children's Aid and Family Services now has a brand new, roomy van for use in its Baby Basics Program. The van is used to collect nutritional formula and diapers from individuals and organizations that hold drives. "We're so grateful to Boiling Springs Savings Bank for this terrific donation," says Liz Mason, executive vice president. "With the volume of items collected, it's an invaluable help, and saves time because we can pick up more items in less trips." The Baby Basics program provides nutritional formula and diapers to low-income families with children 2 years old and under. It also provides parent education and a safety net system of emotional support and referrals. The program is entirely supported by donations.
You can help by organizing a drive for formula, diapers, and/or baby wipes; making a financial donation; or committing to support a baby for a week, month, or other length of time. For more information, contact Shakeemah Smith at 201.445.7015.
