"Questions Along the Way" This workshop will look to address issues that might arise, including school concerns, identity and loss issues. Workshop discussion will be based on the book Twenty Things Adopted Kids Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew by Sherrie Eldridge. Information and resources will be provided.

Children's Aid and Family Services and New Jersey Adoption Resource Clearing House (NJ ARCH) present a FREE Adopted Pre-Teen Group
If you live in Bergen and Passaic Counties, join our FREE group for adopted pre-teens. This group meets monthly for an hour, at the Family and Adoption Services Center in Ridgewood. Pre-teens will meet other adopted pre-teens and participate in adoption related activities. Snacks will be served.

Children's Aid and Family Services host a Baby Basics Drives at Sesame Street Live "Elmo's Healthy Heroes" September 30 - October 3 IZOD Center East Rutherford, NJ
Bring your child, niece, nephew or grandchild to see their favorite furry friend, Elmo, and help babies in need. From September 30 – October 3, Children's Aid and Family Services will host a Baby Basics drive at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, in conjunction with Sesame Street Live, Elmo's Healthy Heroes. Baby Basics provides free nutritional formula, diapers and other baby essentials to low-income families with children ages newborn through 2 years from distribution sites in Carlstadt, Englewood, Paramus and Ridgewood. Your donation of diapers (sizes 4-6), baby wipes and bibs are greatly appreciated. There will be collection bins at each entry-way of the IZOD Center for your donations. 10th Annual Wine & Food Tasting Event presented by TD Bank Friday, November 12, 2010 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM The Women's Club of Ridgewood 215 West Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450
On Friday, November 12th, Children's Aid and Family Services will host its 10th anniversary Wine & Food Tasting Event to benefit Baby Basics and other programs serving vulnerable children. This popular event will be attended by more than 300 people from northwestern Bergen County. What's more, this year the Northern New Jersey Business Volunteer Council and its member corporations will be honored for its efforts to give back to the community.
This fabulous evening is presented by TD Bank and will feature a selection of wines chosen by Chuck Russo of Wine & Spirit World of Ho-Ho-Kus, with appetizers and desserts provided by Applebee's, Panera Bread, Chevy's Fresh Mex and The Shannon Rose restaurants owned by Doherty Enterprises, Inc. The event will also feature live music from the Richard Polatchek Trio, and a large silent auction.
